Not that it means much but tho but I would give an update on an old rifle I made.
About 1 year ago I made a post about a Gahendra Martini parts rifle That I rebuilt using a 43 Mauser barrel that Buckshot cut to 26 inches, crowned and cut a dovetail for a lyman front sight.
I put a Pederisoli rear sight someone gave to me and finally yesterday I got to see just what it would do.
45/90 brass cut down and resized for 43 Mauser.
70 grains of Black Diamond powder.
Lyman 446110 340 grain grease groove boolit.
Fouling no worse than the Goex I had been using in my other guns
The range I go to recently set up the targets for the annual Buffalo shoot.
Fartherest out is 855 yards.
The old clugged up Martini Mauser hit it 5 out of 7 and needed 5 to get on target
Think I will stop while I am ahead and put it in a sock in the back of the safe and let it live a good life.
Not bad for a garage made Bubba gun using hand tools only.
