I built a melting pot almost 10 years ago that was later converted to the pot for my casting machine. I used a 3500 watt oven element wrapped around the steel pot and it finally broke today.
I doubt a new one will be the same $12 I spent back then but wondered what others that have a "real" heating element have had for longevity?
