I just cast my first boolits for my 308. They are 155g gas checked cast from old pistol bullets I had laying around. I lubed, sized and checked them now I am ready to load. The problem is I cant find any powder that is recommended for cast bullets. The powder I have is W748 and IMR 4895. I am looking for around 2k fps to shoot silhouettes. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

A handy option with H4895 is that Hodgdon suggest their 60% rule - this allows you to reduce loads for jacketed or cast (only applicable for H4995 - repackaged AR2206H from Australia):

You will have to decide how close you believe IMR4895 is to H4895.

I have found that H4895 is position sensitive at lower load densities. Some people use fillers. I just increase the loading until the variation goes away or use a different powder.
