I have a little .22 pepperbox pistol. I would love to cast some round balls for it. I have tried pellets, and also the little .22 North American Arms BP bullets and have to file them down to fit. I would imagine I would have to go with a .21 or even .20 caliber round ball to fit accurately. Anyone know of any sources for moulds?

No clue about where to look for a mold. But Ballistic Products lists lead pellets in a size that might work for you. I'd think somewhere in the range of sizes T, TT or F.

Have you considered #4 buckshot, - .224 diameter.

I believe places that cater to air rifles might have a mold for you, or at least a place to buy round ball. Pyramid Air is one place.

I'd think for a pepperbox you'd want a light swage fit for each ball. You could slug the bore then pick the next larger size. Use a short brass rod with cupped end to start and seat each ball. Might require a rap with a piece of wood or mallet to start each one.
#4 Buck is .240"

Sheridan used to make 5 mm pellets that are .20 or thereabouts.

Hello, welcome to Cast Boolits to start with!
While not a round ball mould, you may be interested in this group buy, as it is the size that you are looking for, and it will cast both a round nose target boolit and a boolit specifically for small game hunting.

Not sure of final diameter, or if you are aware of them, but these are available:

But then, there is the possibility that JTknives here at CB might be interested in cutting a mould of that size:

Halfevl33,
A pic or two would be nice. Which type do you have? Slide barrel breech loading, rimfire, revolving cylinder, single action, double action, fixed breech muzzleloading, bench made one ofs, etc. All pepperboxes were oddities with nearly unlimited designs and variations out there- kind of like mousetraps :)

That would have been MY suggestion.

Thanks for posting the pic. Looks like a turn barrel (revolving barrel) variety.
Still I'd slug the bore(s) and use a light swage fit size. Undersize will not help accuracy and oversize will complicate loading. The trick will be judging and finding that "just right" size.

I realize its been over a year since your post, but I hope this info helps. This is a site that makes round ball molds from .17 to .50. I think they go for $44 shipped. They are aluminum, multi cavity molds. Very similar to fish sinker molds.
