I have this mold for my son inlaws 32spec model 94. At first I was very p[leased with this mold it seemed quit an improvement over Lees past design for 2 cavity molds. I'm using air cooled WW alloy and the shank for the gas check is large enough that I have had to use a raw hide mallet to seat the check and sized too 323 the check appears overly swaged and there is tiny threads of copper being stripped. I'm curious if anybody else has had this problem with this mold before I start the process of returning it and if there is something I could do remedy this with a different alloy.

Measure your gas check shank on the base of your 8 mm cast bullet,........how far away is it from .304 " in diameter ? Please measure it with a micrometer, not a caliper.

Report back to us please.

I'll have to buy one since I don't own one. I've never run into this problem with my other gas check molds, one being another Lee mold.
