do they work putting on gas checks. is lee tumble lube a good option?

It's the only way I size boolits and apply gas checks. For the record, I size the boolits and crimp the checks first and then tumble lube afterward.

I put the gas checks on and use just plain old fashioned water as a lube and push them thru the die. I just take them out of the container and let them dry over night and then I hand dip each bullet into a 50/50 mix of LLA and mineral spirits. I hate the buildup of the LLA on the nose of the bullets and on my Dillon press within 40-50 bullets I have to clean the bullet seating die out. You will notice that all of a sudden the bullets are being seated farther into the case than before and this is the cause. With the hand dip method I have never had to clean the die out. I guess you could do as instructed but then have a cloth with mineral spirits on it and just rub the nose of the bullet before seating it.
