Went back 10 pages looking for this topic. Tried to search for it, without luck. Sooo, how do you guys go about removing all the bottom pour hardware and turning your production pot into a ladle pot?

I believe others have removed the hardware and welded theirs up. Got a welder?

Remove the handle pieces, then remove the base plate, which will allow you access to the spout itself. I simple ran a self-tapping, self-drilling screw into the spout to block it, then reassembled the base plate. If you do it this way, you should be able to reverse the conversion at a later date if desired. Other methods would suggest drilling & tapping the spout hole, and running a machine screw into it. Whatever you do, make sure it's tight, or the pot will still do what it does best. Leak.

I had one of those. I tapped the spout for a screw that was close in size and it worked okay. I'd get a tiny bit of alloy dipping once in a while, not more than a whisker or 2.
