Those who use this mold, any special considerations?

............Not so far as I'm concerned if used in a modern 30 cal. It won't (in my experience) cast any larger then maybe .310 (depending upon alloy) so don't expect to use it in your M1909 Argentine :-).

I just bought one and it does indeed drop boolits at .310 diameter using wheel weights with a pinch of tin. I will say that when I first looked at it I was very impressed with the new style blocks. Casting was another matter. The mold is poorly vented and I had a terrible time getting it to fill out. I finally did but have not shot any boolits cast with it yet.

The one I bought a few years ago, cast large diameterwise and quite Light weightwise.
I haven't loaded them yet...that is on my todo list.

My first mould! Love that boolit in my 30-06. Very consistent shooter. I have a huge stockpile of them gas checked and lubed. I followed a thread by BEN, and removed the gas check portion of my mould to make it a plain base. They shoot very well also. Highly recommended mould.
