View Full Version : .40 S&W and HS-6?

Does anyone have an experience with this combination? I'm looking to load a Lee bullet, 175gr flat point, truncated cone.

I tried using the search function, but didn't find anything.

Check the Hodgdon site. HS-6 is a great powder as long as you have enough pressure to get a complete burn. Other wise it can be dirty.

I use W540 with that bullet. It is the same powder as HS6.

Works well.

I have been using about 7 grains of Winchester 540.

I've used HS6 with good results. Still running through some loaded up with 180gr cast boolits.
