I tried 50 grains of Reloader 22 in my Krag. 311299/ACWW with aluminum GC. Results were dismal. my reasoning was that this powder would be close to the 5010 and 870 that I have been getting good results with.

I believe I'll drop back to 40 grains and work my way up.

Anyone else try this powder with cast?

Sounds like a good idea, I use RL19 in the 36.5-38gr range, I fire it with a magnum primer. RL25 would be closer in burn rate to your 5010 and 870. I get 2175fps with a 185gr with the lowest charge of RL19 (notes say 41 was too much, no velocity recorded). I use 23bhn lead based babbitt. I'm going to try to get a good cast load for next year's vintage match. I think it would be very satisfying to do well with a bullet I made myself. More casting and testing, save the 168gr match bullets for the Garand. Just gotta overcome some feeding problems with cast in my Krag. Your RL22 would be closer to 4831.
