Shooting buddy told me about two rusty bullet sizers at a yard sale. He went on to say the seller was going to sell everything that didnt sell, for scrap. On arrival the seller lifted a tarp on flatbed trailer and there were two Lyman 450's. Old style with the flat metal handles. They were covered with rust but it brushed off with my hand (for the most part). The rams were well greased and there was so much bullet lube on them I couldnt tell if there were punches and dies. Plus there was a set of RCBS two cavity mold handles.

The seller mumbled that he would sell them for $2 ea. I asked him to throw in the mold handles and the deal was struck.

When I got home they both had dies and nose puches. Dies were 357 & 429. Top punches were 451 & 187. Not bad for a days work.

I'm sure you looked for the mold(s), right? If not that was totally irresponsible of you.

No mold, no nothing firearm related except a cottage cheese container of old lubed cast boolitz and an oddball assortment of a dozen pieces of brass. Which my buddy bought.

Top punch 187. I can't find its application. The numbers are stamped on the top of the stem Lyman style.

Yeah. The only problem is those type of deals only happen to other people. But I'm happy for them - sorta. Mostly. [smilie=b:
