Does anyone know what the composition of these ingots is. I got these from my son in law's grandfather who retired from bell in the late 70's.84778

Do a Google search for 'wiping solder'. Usually about 10-15% tin and the rest lead. But please, go search.

Usually 10-15% lead, 5-10% Antimony and .1% arsenic the rest is lead.

I considered wiping solder but this seems pretty soft. Have googled it but haven't found any images to match. The section on the far left reads 3/8 lb Lead. Each bar is 8 sections and weighs 3lbs I have about 15 bars.

one way to check is to melt some.
pure lead has a "melt temp" of 630-f
of it's alloyed with 15% tin the melt temp will drop quite a bit, probably 575-f or so.
