45 colt dies for schofield

Can I use 45 Colt 310 dies to load 45 schofield rounds? Can I adjust the dies enough to handle the shorter cases?
I'm away from home so I can't just try it.

My .45 Colt Ideal tong tool is the old steel handled one, but its dies do either Schofield or Colt.

I need to find a seat die if the 310 die will crimp a S&W case. My standard dies won't.
