Do yourself a huge favor and just buy a kit from Frozone. I thought I could buy all the major parts myself off of fleybay and save some money, NOT. Then you have to buy things like wire, wire connectors, switches, grommets etc. I will have a nice PID/Melting pot but it will cost me more than buying one from Frozone.

+1 l thought about building mine also. But this electronics stuff is Greek to me. Frozone got the job.
Worth every penny.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Working on a new design.

2x wider enclosure, Same as the kit on the left. But a pyrometer for mold temp on the right.
Wanting to use a RTD sensor, not sure if it's going to work.

What the heck is a pid?? Personal information Device?

Yep, a device to give you personal information about whatever being measured. Used to measure lead temperature in the pot and adjust the electricity driving that pot to meet a target temperature. Google PID if you want more info. ... felix
