I finally stumbled across the Press I used back in the 50's-60's it's called a Texan. Wondered if any one hear remembers it?

the 1st press I bought was a Texan turret press, back in early 1990. It is still mounted to the bench right next to my lyman and RCBS. It still runs like a champ and spends most of its time doing my pistol loads.

The Texan Turrets are Beefy Monsters! I have an early model with the narrow base. Over in the "Reloading" section they have been discussed from time to time. Usually about rebuilds. You can dig back in the archives to find the threads.

They just don't make 'em like that anymore. You have a good one for sure.

I love mine in (a red one in) 12 Ga and (a black one in) .410. Wish I had 2 more of them. As the LubeDude says, they just don't make 'em like that any more.
Well, my Dillon 650 comes close....

I use a Texan turret press set up to take care of the little things necessary for reloading. Bullet/boolit puller, deprimer. M die, ram prime. I set it up for all the one-offs and problem cases.

This one just landed on my door step a couple of weeks ago. It was on eBay and no one bid on it. I got it for opening bid. Wife was a bit ticked off but then she does not understand the "why" of old reloading tools. The red primer arm will have to go. Actually I have a red Sovereign Industries Texan that that arm goes to so all is well. It needs a bit of cleaning in do time but it works very smoothly.
