I finally have enough dead soft lead!

If your local scrapyard will sell to individuals try looking for electrical cable sheathing , lead roof flashing , lead plumbers pipe ( the joints will contain solder ), lead x-ray sheets from a hospital remodel or ribbon lead such as is used for sealing around windows or leaded glass. All are good sources of lead and are usable for muzzle loaders.

I have a friend that manages a scrap yard and the biggest source of soft lead they get is roof flashings. I usually let him know ahead of time so he can set them aside. They come in sporadically and not in huge lots. They typically throw all of their lead together. Biggest problem with those is that they typically have a lot of roofing attached and you are paying for it so you have to figure that into the price.
