308 mx

Anybody load for the 308 marlin.
I have read where guys couldn't get close to factory specs with them, but that was before levereloution powder was available.

What have you guys found to work.

My 308 mxlr is one gun I do not run cast in. The Hornady jacketed 160 gr. bullet reaches factory speed in mine with 41.5 gr. of LEV powder. The lot of powder does make a difference, in that the most recent bottle has been a bit quicker, and needed a lower charge.

I will have to check into getting some of the hornady projectiles if I decide to even shoot this much. I'm kinda thinking it really doesn't have much advantage over my 300 savage.

In the home stretch using CB loads for my 308MX. This weekend I am out of town but on Monday I will be at the range to do some testing.
