Thought I would try this. Please list the make of your rifle and twist rate as well. I think I'll put another 30 cal mold on my Christmas list. But which one? I have a Lyman 311359, Lee 309-160, and a lee 155 312-2r. Maybe something heavier?

Ive got two AR's with 10.5" barrels 1x8 twists. I just started using 10 grains of RL7 with the NOE 247 grain bullets. Its a subsonic load. Shoots excellent. No recoil. Im trying to find a similar load using 4198 tho

Thanks guys. I've been looking for reloader 7. That one is recommended a lot as I look around.

Accurate Molds has a 245 that resembles the NOE 247, I use it alot. Still need to load some up with RL-7 to see if I can get them to cycle subsonic.

I have a H&R Handi Rifle with a 1 in 7 twist. I am using 11.6 grs of Reloader 7 behind a 150 gr lead bullet( Don't know who cast them I got them at a local gun show). They shoot awesome in my H&R Handi Rifle. They shoot 1.5" groups at 75 yards. Don't know how fast they are.

I have the Lee .309-230-5R in a mold I bought just after it was released. I have wasted quite a bit of time on trying to get this to shoot. The best I did was about 2" or so at 100 yards out of my Savage 30-06 at about 1,900 fps. In my 1 in 8 Contender 18" barrel at subsonic it was not stabilized enough to get any decent groups.
The Lyman 314299 sized .310" with WC680 in my Contender does very well.

I've been playing with a lot of the MBC 245gr (actually scale around 239.5gr) boolits over various weights of unique & red dot. 5 to 6gr. I'm searching for the best combination of noise / consistancy / cleanliness / accuracy.

Rifle is a Micro 7. Silly accurate with almost anything that will chamber.
