I've had this Evanix Rainstorm II in 9mm and it's been a fun gun; however, I originally got it to hunt coyotes. It shoots the JSB and RB's fine, but not the best hunting boolit.

It would be very exciting to design a FP for this magazine! Check it out. There's a retaining metal oring that holds the bullet in the magazine. It would be slick to design bands that fit this oring.

Since this 75 grain does not go faster than 800 fps, hollow points are not making sense, although I have found a hollow point that works, but jams in the magazine.

What design guidelines are out there in cyber space to guide me to a FP design? I'm talking the right design to match barrel twist , band design, and stability.

Copying proven pistol designs , it seems the meplat can be between 70 to 73%.

I am a mechanical engineer, so you can nerd it up! :-)

I've experimented with twist calculators , but currently confused. Due to the limited bullet length, I am getting very high stability numbers! Not sure how high is too high.

Any feedback, is greatly appreciated.

Specs:
9mm
1:16
Maximum bullet length = .425"
Weight goal: 80 grains
