Hello!

I am relatively new to the cast boolit world. I have recently purchased a Glock 26 and I will soon begin to cast for it. I have heard myths about excessive leading in glock factory barrels with CB's. So I looked into Lone Wolf replacement barrels, but many people seen to have issues with overly-tight chamber specs, especially with CB's. I've also heard that factory Glock barrels will not lead when properly-sized boolits are used.

Can anyone make some recommendations? Are there any other barrel brands that might work better than Lone Wolf? Should I just try to develop a CB load for the factory barrel?

Thanks!

Tailor your loads to the factory barrel first! Make your PERSONAL judgements after a few "boxes" worth. ... felix

My buddy has shot thousands of cast bullets in his Glock factory barrels, both 9mm and .40 S&W. No problems. We sized the 9mm to .358 and .40's to .401.

the only reason I switched barrels was because of the glock bulge

Best barrel to use in a Glock for cast? The one that came with the gun...

RCBS 124 gr rn, WDWW, Speed Green, sized to .357=Done.

I shot many thousand cast bullets through my Glock 26 with factory barrel.

Glock 9mm barrels really don't bulge the brass like the .40 and .45 versions do.

I like KKM aftermarket barrels for Glocks. Super smooth chambers and bores, always a good fit, and always reliable.

I have a G20 and G29. I shoot cast with the existing barrels.

Based on Glock factory recommendations and some common sense, I acquired both a Lone Wolf and Storm Lake 9mm barrels for my wife's Glock M23 .40 S&W. Actual group size with either is identical....with my tailored handloads and 124 gr Conical bullets, I get 1.5" gps at 13 yds from a Weaver Stance. The factory original .40 S&W is the same size. Good Load, no appreciable leading and great reliability. Rod

I have a Storm lake 9mm conversion and a storm lake 40 for my Glock 22. Both work very well with Cast. My Glock barrel was aweful, leaded in less than 50 rounds. My Glock21sf in 45 acp works great with cast, no need to get aftermarket for it.
My Glock 35 has a KKM 40 barrel and works very well with cast. My Glock 35 also has a line wolf barrel and it's chamber is much tighter than my Glock 22 Storm lake barrel.

bought a wolf barrel for my 20 because i wanted to shoot lead accurate and without leading. Found the factory barrel was more accurate and didnt lead a bit more then the wolf. The wolf barrel chamber was tighter and i had some reloads that didnt run in it. the factory barrel runs everything. Only down side to the factory barrel is glock bulge. Easily taken care of with a push through sizer.
