My first time using .22 Gator annealed gas checks; I noticed the base of the check is sometimes wrinkled coming out of the Lee sizer die;
so much so that some boolits will not stand up straight.
Never experienced that with the Hornady annealed gas checks; are Gator checks not copper like Hornady?

Gator checks are are copper
make sure the edge of the check is not caught on the side of the sizer going in, gators tend to be a tad wider and that may be the issue.
Have any pics? I'd like to see a few if possible.

not set up for pics, sorry; I'll try to explain the best I can.
I know my sprue cutter is not 100% and sometimes I need to file a burr off the base of the boolit; but I still can't eliminate this identation of the boolit base.
I compare the boolit base of the Hornady gas checks and none of them are " indented "... they also appear to be a tad longer in height than the Gator checks.
I'm going to acquire a new sprue cutter and see if that makes a difference.
