Anyone know the vintage and shellholder info of this one?
Thanks in advance.

1961 or later. It should take regular shellholders. If not the original ram has been replaced. It was made in two versions, upstroke and down stroke.

I got one just like that. Mine came with the stock ram with built in shell holder so I bought a new ram with "universal shell holder" that accepts regular shell holders. I got my universal ram from C-H 4D http://www.ch4d.com/equipment/presses (about midway down). I use mine as a dedicated priming press...

Late 50's early 60's. Still use one for push thru Lee sizing dies. It was my first press after a 310 tool in 222. Great little press!

Bought one of them new in 1961. Shell holder was integral with the ram. Different ram for each cartridge. Changed mine over to a universal shell holder ram years back.
Good little press. Bought a C H Magnum press at the same time. Unfortunately I lost that in a move. Rats!!!

I won another one yesterday for 19 bucks.missing the plastic grip,I wonder if somebody sells them.2 Spartans came and went for @50 bucks.I think the word is getting out on these vintage presses.Maybe its been out,I never paid attention before. Now I have 3 and a cheapo lee.thats my idea of progressive presses..you just progress to the next press on the bench.

Bought mine new about 1957 for about $13 -- alum casting, upstroke, ram shellholders --
Still going strong ---

The press arrived and it has the old style ram.I wont make that mistake again. Then the other one came,it has the universal ram and is an upstroke. At least I finally got rid of all my excess scales from bidding too much. Now I'll resell a press or 2.The difference is,I will TELL the buyers about the rams. The shysters on ebay make me sick.Especially the ones who'll put something at 20 bucks and the shipping at 45.You got to pay attention.

What do you want for the one that works on the upstroke?

I would trade you one that works on down stroke.

I have been thinking if I got one that works backwards, to mount it upside down for use with the lee sizer dies.

I can't claim the idea, I got it here from a member that had set one up like that, I just seem to think it would work well.
