Win. '94 AE , 30-30 tips next round too high.

I probably should have a good gunsmith fix this, but I'd be proud of myself if I could fix it. When you jack the lever, slow or fast the new round (factory rounds) noses up too high and hits top of the chamber mouth. If you wiggle the lever it will drop and go in. I guess it needs a little trim, but before I mess with it, I though I'd ask what you think.

I fixed it. No brilliance on my part. It seemed that those small metal bars or slides on each side might be the problem. I took them out and looked at them. I couldn't see any issues, but decided to swap a pair from a 1964 '94. They looked to be the same, but swapped them around anyway. Hurray, they both work. I'm a very lucky boy with hunting season just a couple weeks away.

I suspect if you swapped them back, they would both STILL work.

They just needed a little re-arranging.
