Had to have another toy for the reloading bench, and got ahold of one of their 230gr .45 HPs. Very well made mold and cast very well after following the break-in instructions. I believe it's actually an old one from one of the group buys on this site. You can see it here: http://noebulletmolds.com/NV/product_info.php?cPath=41&products_id=267&osCsid=pnrdvtr4vjcsrj3uhu91hatk22
I found that this mold likes it hot- and I mean REALLY REALLY hot! I thought I was going to wear myself out tapping my handles with my rubber mallet to get boolits to release, but after a while it got real regular- one pop to bust the sprues, then a tap on my handles to let both of the pins swing out and drop the boolits. I found that another quick tap would often make the boolits leap right off the pins, which amused me greatly.
Definitely take the time to get a mold like this up to temp before casting, or you will hate life in short order! But once hot you can make it sing.

Alloy is plain COWW, air cooled. I wanted these soft to see how they'll expand in various mediums- hoping I can recover a good number of them.
But wait, there's more!
They got a trip through the cooker:

and now they're ready for loading tomorrow morning. A couple wrinklies in there, but I don't think they'll cause any problems!

Like when they were dropped, I let them air cool out of the oven. That might have been a mistake, I don't know, but we'll see what expansion looks like. I doubt lead can be "too soft" for a .45 with a 230 gr pill.
I'm hoping my G30 likes these. I cannot get it to eat SWCs no matter what, and that's what almost all of my .45 molds are.
