I purchased 1 pound (two 1/2 lb containers) at a indoor shooting range in Stockbridge, GA. about 3 months ago. Max velocity in my 357 magnum is under 800fps (powder filled to base of 158gr boolit, but not compressed). I like Tin Star, Bullseye and Unique better in my 357. Trail Boss does verywell in my 30-30 Winchester shooting the RCBS 150gr Cowboy boolit @1000fps...nice tight grouping. I may sell the other unopened 1/2 lb container

Well ...... I bought the last 1/2lb my LGS had last fall or summer and he has never received any more. I still have some but trying not to use it up until I know what the status is on it. So far I like it for what it is, it seems good for low power loads that I have done test on (32S&W, 32S&W long, 25-20, Triple Deuce, but mostly 45 Colt) but I hate to spend a lot of time working up good loads in to great loads to find out I'm not going to be able to get more. If you guy's or gal's are starting to see it on shelves it's still being produced and hasn't been put on the back burner indefinitely while the companies play catch up on other powders. My LGS is getting more powder in all the time so it's coming back just no Bullseye or 231 but I can work around those. I may have to start pushing him to find me the lighter than 8lb jug of TB so I don't have to worry about it for a little while. Thanks, James

detox, I don't need it I'm not a CASS shooter, so far it just seems worthy enough to keep a big jug around for close in quiet varmint work, squirrel hunting and long range mortar trajectory and general plinking. My daughter and I set on top of a 70ft cliff overlooking our field and shoot the top of a 55gal drum (lid) hung on a 3/8" round wire rod I bent, last time we set it out about 300yds and she took the Winchester 62 pump and I took the Browning Buckmark pistol (both open sight .22's) and went through about 500rds. It's fun.

I was just at the gun shop and there happened to be several cans of tb. I do not use the stuff so I am not sure if this is a new thing or not. It does seem that I have seen it there often.

I checked with my LGS yesterday, he looked and could only find one 9oz container from his distributors, that's not worth the shipping. I told him to keep an eye out for a 5lb jug and grab it if it's not overly inflated on price.

Third Generation shooter's supplies had some recently....I bought some 2400, some 4350 and some Trail Boss...the have a $27 haz mat fee so it's not worth it unless you buy enough to make it worthwhile...their shipping was pretty cheap so all in all it was very much worth while...quick ship for what they had in stock...

Hi...
I have seen Trail Boss available locally, though I do not use it.
What I haven't seen is 231 or 296....I have recently began seeing Unique, Bullseye, and 2400 in 8lb jugs.
I don't need any right now, but will be buying at least one of each. I have several new 1lb containers of each.

Now that hunting season is here, we won't do much target shooting, so no need to reload for a month or two.
My reloading sessions start in mid-December, so I will probably start putting away new stocks of powder after the Christmas gift buying frenzy.

I have enough primers, powder and bullets for the next two years of range time, so I have ample opportunity to re-build and augment my supplies.
Market conditions did not allow me to start reloading rifle calibers this year, so i will have a lot of die sets and such to purchase as well.
My reloading room is beginning to look a lot like a gun shop, except I have more supplies than most of them do.:-D
