Just picked up a CZ75 B in 9 mm.

Haven't ever cast for a 9 before, have cast tens of thousands of 45 and 38 special bullet so handguns are no stranger to me.

Barrel slugs at .3562

I would like to use a Lee 125 RNFP as it would do double duty in my GP 100 and Marlin. Would easily size down to .357 for use in CZ.

Anyone use this bullet in 9 mm? I plan to use up some HP38 then switch to Promo or Red Dot.

I have been shooting it in 2 cz75 clones. Have used 231 and red dot , mainly loading tests for function and settling on an alloy . Still getting some leading at the 1000fps range so don't have much worthwhile info as of yet. the "new" profile ,without bevel base, feeds and cycles well(don't know about the earilyer one). My bore is .357 and presently shooting at .358 sizing. Accuracy is within reason for my use at the moment. BUT I will be watching development of this thread with interest. One of my clones is a "baby" , they really feel good , don't they!

My CZ 75B loves boolits sized .358. My standard load is a Lyman 358242 (120 gr.) over Blue Dot 6.0. @ 1100 fps. 358242 is also a winner over Promo 3.8 @ 1080 fps. It's a great boolit in 38/357 for both pistol and rifle. Lyman 356402 is also very accurate with Blue Dot 6.0. With Lee's 356-125-2R I like Blue Dot 5.8 gr or Promo 3.8 gr. again around 1080 fps.

I started out sizing .357 for the CZ but found it would make one ragged hole just as easily with boolits sized .358.

Thanks Ed, that is what I was looking for. I have a .359 die right now, need to look into a .358 I suppose.

Why not try your .359" die and if it does not work then you can always buy the .358"?

That is in the works. I like to keep things reasonably simple.

My 75B likes either 358402 or 356242 124 gr over 4 gr aa2.

I also just bought my first pound of red dot, just loaded my first 9mm rounds, and will be shooting them through a baby eagle. I presume that is what you are talking about.

Btroj i watch here with interest too, as my IMI has a lot in common with your cz75. Of course i got one with the polygonal rifling...but i think things will work out. Im currently placing my bets on the lee 120 tc. Shooting this weekend should tell.

If the 125 rnfp works well for ya ill probably order it next week. I like that profile anyway and ill bet it's a stomper in my LCR 38

Good shootin to ya

I've been using the Lee 125 RNFP in my 9 mm loads a lot recently. I size .358 and load it over 4.4 grains of WW-231. Works well in my S&W M39 and Sig P6, haven't yet given it a try out of my Kahr or Luger, but see no reason why it won't work just as well there.

I use to cast for my G19, with a Lone Wolf barrel. Like stated before, I think the 9mm liked the larger casted boolits of .358. So I just loaded my Lee TL .356's as is and we had excellent results. Tried the same loaded roiunds in my friends BH convertable with the 9mm cyclinder and same thing. And since 9mm brass was everywhere, at that time, it was our cheapest load.

Red Dot was my favorite powder for the 9mm and 40S&W at that time.

Just remember that CZ's have really short throats. I was going to use the Lee 125 gr RNFP, but a push test showed that it would have to be loaded to 0.988". I never went any further with it after that.

My 75B measures .356" and I size to .358".

Shot it today. 100 rounds of factory first to get the Mrs familiar with it. Then it was 100 rounds with a .357 commercial cast bullet over 3.5 gr of Red Dot. Accuracy was good and zero leading. Not even a fleck.

Have a mould on the way from HM2 for a 124 RN. That will be tested at both .357 and .358 to see which does better.

I need a mag loader, my thumb is kinda sore. These mags are more of an effort to load than a 1911 mag.
