After about a four year absence, I'm getting serious about casting again.
I've fired up my equipment here and there over the last few years, but not much.
I just turned 52# of wheelweights into ingots this evening and am going to be casting away in the coming weeks.
I am seriously looking at getting a Marlin 1895 (45-70) in the next few days. That will be my first venture into making and loading cast for a rifle. With a slow boolit and a 1:20 twist, I'm hoping it will be a friendly intro to rifles.
Anyhow, it's good to be back. My shop smells of burnt wheelweight gunk.
It's a good smell. :)
