Core Lubrication

I have not used lubrication in the squirt die and haven't had a problem (that I know of!) Why is it important to lube the cores?

Less weight differences between the cores.

greatly reduced force to swage and eject the cores. Lubrication of the die and punches (you wouldn't run your car engine without oil, would you?)
