I've been thinking about getting some sealable plastic containers for my molds. Since I picked up a couple better than Lees', I want get them out of the box there sitting in. So I wondered what my fellow casters are using for theirs.

I keep lees in the original boxes, and lyman/rcbs/saeco etc. in one of those plastic bins with lots of drawers so that I can mark whats what on the front of the drawers.

With handles attached, a rubber band goes around the handles to keep blocks closed, and the blocks get wrapped in a shop towel. Blocks, sans handles, go into Lyman plastic storage boxes ( the ones thier moulds come in) and all are stacked into a tool box with a few packets of desicants that came with other stuff . Don't think that really does anything but all have survived the heat , humidity and rust monster that lives in south Louisiana.

My steel mold are stored in there boxes wrapped in VPI paper and a small desicant bag. Then are stored in a military ammo can. My Lee molds are just stored in another ammo can with a desicant bag

Mine are all stored in lock n lock containers which have an airtite / water tite seal. A big printed label on each box makes it easy to find what I'm after. The only cast iron mold I have is stored the same way except it is pre sprayed till wet with inox which is a excellent rust preventative.

a large ammo can with seal intact, I can a bunch of molds in one of these an add a disacant pack to keep mositure at bay.

I can literally open this ammo box and feel how dry it is!

I have a serious rust problem as I live in a salt air rich environment, an island in the Atlantic and I store all my molds and most of my expensive hand tools and instruments completely submerged in clear plastic containers of 30 wt. oil. I've been dealing with this rust problem since 1954 and I've tried everything over the years but the best way to deal with rust is to eliminate the oxygen.

Bass Pro Shops has those clear plastic, adjustable divider tackle boxes in a size that works pretty well for the average Lyman size mold. A lot of the bigger stuff though - still has to live in the boxes they came in.
