Does anybody out there know what the maximum overall cartridge length is that will feed through a marlin 357 rifle? Thanks

Theoretically 1.61 inches. But every rifle is a little different and yours may feed bullets as much as 5 thousandths over or under that number. You must find out for yourself.

Before I modified it, mine fed 1.60 max and 1.58 was a lot smoother. With a cartridge lifter modification, I now feed 1.63 smoothly. My report on the mod here:

Ok, so I'm resurrecting a long dead thread, but can't help but notice that those are very long OALs for the .357.

I just got a digital caliper to check my reloads, which came in at 1.55. The longest factory load I have is a Fiocchi FMJ at 1.57. I'm loading for both my Rossi 92 and Ruger Blackhawk.

Loading a LBT 180gr FN to 1.601 in my Marlin.Feeds perfect.

Dunkel- not sure about the Rossi but most likely you will be able to load longer for the BH than will feed in the Rossi.
