Does anyone know for certain if the hole spacing/placement on a current Lyman 57 receiver sight is the same as an older Lyman 48 for the same gun?

I put a 57 on my 03A3 Springfield about 15 years ago (I had to drill and tap the gun.) While the 57 served OK, I am not impressed with the durability of its aluminum construction. I now have some definite wobble. Would and older steel Lyman 48 for an 03A3 likely have the same hole placement? I don't want to drill more holes in the old girl. I am fairly confident I can come up with an old 48, but want to make sure it will be compatible with the holes I already have before I buy one.

I have a 98 mauser with a lyman M48 on it and I tried a 57 on it and it went right on, same hole spacing. also I think the hole spacing for springfield 57 is the same as Mauser, I put a Williams foolproof from 03a3 on a 95 mauser that had drilled and tapped for a lyman 57 the sight just sets a little higher.
