Can someone not at least point me in a direction? I just assumed that I was in the center of all things cast here.

Something like this?

http://www.mountainmolds.com/ Top left put in the 45 caliber and then enter the boolit weight and the pic on the bottom left looks pretty close to me.

It also looks like a Ideal 454190 255gr but dropped heavy or try this http://www.three-peaks.net/bullet_molds.htm and look at 452664

I've ordered a bunch of boolits from Hunters Supply and not been disappointed with the product or the service.

Is there a reason you need that exact boolit as a RCBS 45-270-SAA is close but .454 and is a great boolit in that weight.
What are you doing with it?

Tom at Accurate Molds http://www.accuratemolds.com/ or Veral Smith at LBT http://lbtmoulds.com/ will make molds for you. Just specify your needs.

It doesn't look anything like the Lyman 454190's that I have and cast regardless what the pic on that website looks like.

If this is for a pistol RCBS makes a 45-270 mold that's really good. It will cast heaver with wheel weight alloy. one thing ,mine cast a little big .455-.456. I size to .452 so this was a little to much so I purchased one from Accurate molds, a 45-270k that drops at .453 and also was right on the weight [270 gr.]

The meplat on the 454190 is much much smaller. Like the meplat on the old 45 colt factory loads by Remington and Winchester.
Going by generic photos is not a good idea. Drawings like Accurate Molds has of their bullets is a more accurate way of knowing what a bullet really is.

thank you gentlemen i greatly appreciate the help. i am wanting to work up a do it all load in my G21. i have been shooting a 255 lee at a bit over.900 fps and am wanting something with a bit more thump. i put two of the lee's in a big boars shoulder this evening as finishers and while it got thr job done i still am not as impressed as i want to be.

If you are using it for that purpose out of a handgun and the RCBS 47-270-SAA can't get it done then I'm not sure what will.
