I was just wondering whether anyone had any experience with this mold design from Accurate Molds. It looks like an interesting design that has a little lower weight and a wider meplat than the lee C309-170-F I have been using for my 30-30 reloading. It also has tumble grooves which I typically like.

If anyone has used this design out of a Marlin 336 with good results I would love to hear what powder you are using. I have gotten the best accuracy with the lee mold and 27gr of varget.

Anyway, I am thinking about trying this new design so I would love hear about any experiences ya'll have.

I use the RD 170, it engraves a LOT of the nose. Seems like this one would be tougher to find a good fit, better send him a chamber/throat cast. Almost a bore rider. Unless you get a nose sizer, you can't control it well. You could have him cut the nose a tad smaller.
