Went out shooting tonight for a little while. I went to actually scrounge for brass and lead. I left the 1911 and a 50 cal ammo can full of ammo for the old lady to have fun. This is what I came back to.

Not too bad for 15 yards! She said she got bored and went and got a bunch of empty shotgun shells and started to shoot them on the ground. Once I got home and counted up all the empty cases, she shot up 572 rounds. Good thing i cast my own!

Sounds like my wife at the range. I only let her take one magazine for "HER" M4 or 1911, so she doesn't melt the barrel.

Also, You are lucky your wife saved your brass, mine will loose at least 1/2 of it.

Do not ever in your life make her angry. :-) I came to the same conclusion about my wife after I saw her shoot the head off a rattlesnake with my Ruger Mk I.

My beautiful wife has outshot me with a pistol for over 45 years, but don't tell anyone. We shot while dating and I bought her a rifle our first Christmas together--she requested it. We shoot as a family often and she runs 100 rounds through her carry pistol at least once a month.

I am blessed with my partnership with this woman. I always tell everyone that when she leaves me, I am going with her.

My wife (and most other women I've shot with, it seems) can outshoot me with a handgun, but I can at least shoot better with rifle and shotgun. Women just seem to be steadier or something. I've taught women to shoot who outshoot me on their very first time. Maybe I just drink too much caffeine...

You are a good man. Not everyone will assume the role of teacher and be proud of their students when they turn around and beat them.

There is a serenity in knowing you taught them well.

My wife is also a natural ..... her passion is our M1 Garrand and her Rem 870 Police and M60 Smith. Try as I may, I can't get her to like AR-15's ..... guess I need to put one in wood!

Nice group your wife shot ......... I'll be extra careful when I drive in your neck of the woods!!

One thing about it ....... if you are together and someone gets the drop on you ......... they'll keep their eyes on you and she'll drop'em as sure as $%@#%$# runs downhill!!!

Also, get her a bunch of golf balls .... good contrast on the sights and good tough reactionary (and cheap) targets and you wife won't get bored anymore!

FOUR!!! Swoosh!

There was an assault of a fellow farmer in his driveway a few years ago ...... his wife ran in the house and dialed 911 ...... My wife on reading this said .... "Heck, if someone jumped you like that ........ I'd forget the phone and grab my 12 ga. and give you a hand!!!!

Amen!

What was really nice was she had all the brass picked up when I came back! I trained her well:bigsmyl2:

Next time take her along to the range with several 5 gal buckets. Then you can both shoot at home.

Mine won't leave until all the brass is picked up, every piece. I'm trying to get her to settle for about 70-80% but she won't quit till she finds it all+ every piece of reloadable that others leave.
