I have used Blue Dot with my homecast 440gr. FNGC bullet from a LEE mold. A lower end load of 20gr. of Blue Dot gets me about 1050-1075fps per my chrony.
I'm thinking of increasing it to 22gr. of Blue Dot and using it for a deer hunting load. It will be like hitting deer with a 12gauge mag. slug from what I hear from others.
Anyone else use Blue Dot in their .500S&W and want to share some loads?
My .500 is the standard 8 3/8" barrel.
