I am using ice water quenched wheel weights, from a lee 6 banger 124gr TC TL design. I've lubed the boolits with 45/45/10 and they look great. I've started doing experiments to check for case swaging of the boolit, and I dont see any real changes on the micrometer, just smearing of lube.
I have not sized these boolits, as they size at .357-.358 and my stock glock barrel slugged at .357 at its widest.
When seating to the lee recommendations for IMR 800x, 1.125 (1.5 tumble grooves showing) the breech fails to close entirely until I seat to ~1.07 at which point it requires a really light push to get it to drop into the chamber.
I see lots of people with the same boolit design seating at 1.15-1.16 and I'm kind of concerned. I will be working this load up from the minimum of 4.5 to a max of 5.0 carefully, and checking for leading every 15 rounds.

Whats the minimum OAL for a 9mm cast 124gr boolit for a glock stock barrel?

I also load for 38 spl, should I be using the 38 expander plug, or am I OK to stay with the 9mm expander? I feel like I'm crazy style flaring the mouth, it almost looks comical and I feel like I'm shortening the life of the brass as a result.

I am loading the glock 22 in 9mm with a storm lake aftermarket barrel and the lee TC, normal lube to 1.045oal. Yes it is very short to get it to drop in. I chamber check lots of them and if I load longer it takes force to drop in and I sometimes get failures to fire.
P.S at this short length I only load light loads as being short causes higher pressures.

excellent, great to know! Thanks for your quick reply, I was starting to be worried, lol.
what has your barrel slugged at, and are you sizing your boolits? I was wondering if this could be a source of my problems as well, since the shoulder of the round is the point where it hits the part of the barrel where the case headspaces

one more q, does anyone have any info regarding using blue dot in 9mm cast? I saw some on handloads.com but I couldnt find info anywhere else to confirm

I size to .357 at present. Was .356 and got some leading, now trying .357, maybe .358 next.
Keep in mind I am not OEM barrel, I use a glock22 to 9mm storm lake conversion. For full power loads the powders that work best tend to be in the Unique to WSF speed range.

I load my 9s with either the Hensley & Gibbs #275 09-125-SWCBB or the #309 09-125-TCPB sized 357 over a medium charge of Bluedot. The #309 worked great in my buddy's original Glock 17, but he had to up the charge .5 to function in his Gen 4 Glock. I use a 38/357 powder thru expander plug.

Could I ask for a more detailed charge for the blue dot? i cant seem to fine any info on the net or my Lee's 2nd edition.
Is the 38/357 expander sufficient to keep the case from swaging down the bullet? I have noticed the base IS swaged down to .3545, my mistake I measured incorrectly.
I've written Lee about it, hoping theyll send me a .38S&W expander plug, but if they don't.. How do you like the 38/357 expander? Which company dies are you using?

I do not crimp for my 40 Glocks, as the case length in the head space in a Glock.
If you loads do not allow the slide to go into battery, seat the boolit a bit deeper.
