What is a good lube mixture to prevent lead from sticking to outsides of cylinder caused by hot gases and lead escaping cylinder gap. I dislike having to remove lead from exterior finish of my revolver's cylinder.

Spray coating exterior of gun with a good oil should prevent lead from sticking to cylinder and inside frame. Maybe Remington oil with Teflon.

You either have a badly misaligned cylinder or you are exceeding the strength of your alloy with your load. I would worry about fixing those first. You can use some solvents to remove it, but I would look into the other problems first.

Using bore scope all charge holes in 686 cylinder appear to be lined up perfect with barrel forcing cone. I will try different loads and lube. No leading in barrel BTW and gun shoots good...better than me.
