I don't know if it will hold true else where, but I happened to look in the lawn and garden section at my local Wal-Mart last night and they had Turkey Fryers marked down from $37 to $20.

End of season is the best time to pick up stuff cheeper than normal.Big box stores rather sell at a loss than store it.

That's kinda what surprised me. Seems a bit early to have them marked down with a clearance sticker at the end of October. I've seen them as low as 9.99 after Thanksgiving, but never marked down before. :?

I think maybe they're trying to make room for other stuff. They sell the Grills and Christmas stuff in the same place in the store (Seasonal Isle). As the Christmas stuff is arriving earlier each year. I think the Fryers were crowding there seasonal space. They had moved them and the grills outside with the potted plants. :Fire:

Damn. I was just there today. I got a 20# tank of propane that came with the house.

The one I got only works with the new OPD valves. I think there is an adapter available for older tanks, but it probably costs nearly as much as a new tank.

for an excellent pot...large ammo can. there is one a bit bigger than the std 50 cal can
i can do about 120 lbs in a 50,,,,not sure in the new bigger can..probably closer to 150....close to the limit me thinks of a solid turkey burner.
the ammo cans are cheap...under 10 bucks at a gun show or army/navy or milsurplus store.

Maximilian225;
I traded in my old tanks to Walmart for a surprisingly small amount. It was nearly a "have to trade" deal it was so good. Check it out. It cost just a small amount per tank and I ended up with all new certified tanks.
