Been a lurker for a while now, learning lots and figured it was time to jump in the deep end of the pool. I currently melt lead in a cast dutch oven and a fire pit. Curious if anyone here used a rocket stove to more efficiently achieve the same result. I only do this on known lead and mostly just for pure lead to cast BP and for ingots. Would love to see pix of how y'all did it. I had one but it did not seem safe enough to rest a load of lead on top.

Many use a Coleman, easier to adjust temp.

True, i use a turkey fryer for stuff other than pure lead. Most of the pure i have is from plywood covered shielding lead and makes a nasty mess so i do it in the fire pit away from everything else.
