Hi Guys,
I need to find a backup powder for my AA#5 loads with powder availability being kinda spoty I wanted to have a backup for my "less than magnum loads" Something in the middle ground between fast 231/AA#2 and slower than #7/#9. I shoot cast in my .357mag 158g@1100fps, 10mm 180g@1050 and 44mag 250g@1050fps well under max pressure.(all revolvers all 6-8 in barrels)
On the burn charts sr4756 sits very close to AA#5 so I think its looking good. I ruled out sr7625 because its closer to 231 burn rates. And IMR 4227 and sr4759 burn rates are closer to AA#9 which I have.
I want to stick with an IMR powder.
Does anyone have experience with SR4756, it has fine grains so I know it will meter well. thoughts??
