Whats the verdict on these pistols? Good or not. I know Sig triggers and am wondering how they compare. Need a semi auto but not sure I want to spend Sig money. I am just considering a new pistol.

Yeah, good pistols

CZ 75b is what the beretta 92fs should have been. Excellent pistols.

I've been eyeing up one from the custom shop for months now. If they let me build a dual tone would I would have already bought one. And I try to talk my friend into selling me his every time I see him. I let him buy it at the shop as his first pistol. I wish I wasn't so nice ;)

Never seen a bad CZ. I like the. 32s to carry in the pocket around the farm and the CZ27 and CZ50. Get lots of use with heavy loads which would take apart a Kel-Tec.

My CZ-75B in 40 S&W is by some distance the most accurate pistol I have ever fired in that caliber. It also has 1-16" twist rate and .400" grooves with .4005" throat. This likely accounts for its excellent work with cast boolits, but it shines with the redcoats as well. I was NOT HAPPY when my agency put the kabosh on this make/model for concealed carry when HR 218 came on board 3 years ago.

I have a Tanfoglio EAA Witness CZ-75 clone and it is wonderful. Feeds like butter, is easy to operate and ate everything I've ever fed it. I would love to have a real CZ-75, but I got my Witness when they were just being introduced, it's hard to beat $289 out the door with two mags. Now they cost as much as a real CZ. I can't afford either one!

My CZ 75 in 9mm is my favorite pistol of all times. I also have a truly nice CZ 22lr conversion unit for it.

I have never owned one but I have rented a couple at two different ranges.
I would rate them about 9.95 on a scale of 10.

I have an older CZ75 (9mm) and a CZ52. The CZ 75 is as accurate as my S&W M52. The double action trigger needs work but it is 100% reliable with a broad spectrum of ammunition. The single action trigger is very nice and the ergonomics are wonderful. It works really well with cast as well as jacketed. The CZ52 (7.62X25) is sorta military/utilitarian but also very accurate and reliable. I have no experience with other CZ pistols. All of their rifles and air rifles that I have are exquisitely accurate. I don't think CZ knows how to make a bad barrel.

My 9mm 75 and 380 83 are both tack drivers. My P-07 9mm not so much but the light weight frame and its reliability make it a great high capacity carry piece.

I rented a CZ 75BD "Police" at a gun range and I have to say that it was the best shooting 9mm that I have ever tried. I would buy one in a heartbeat if my wife would let me 8-)

I've had a CZ75B for 15 + years and love it to death. Accurate and ergonomic. My neighbor liked mine so much he bought one for himself and another for his wife .
I've always had a soft spot for Cz27's and liked everyone I had. I finally got a Cz50...good tight shooter !. Gonna get rid of the Keltec P32 soon enough.

Cz75 compact in 9mm fits my hand better than any other gun I've ever laid my paws on. It's also very accurate and ultra reliable. The only criticism I've got is that it came with a heavy single action trigger pull.

I've owned an 83 in 380, a 75b and a 75bd in 9mm, a 75B in 40 cal and a 97 in 45acp...sold them all to one guy several years ago and would give anything to have them back...solid, reliable, accurate and just fit my hand perfectly...one thing...if you do not have larger hands the 97 might be a bit big for you...it's a big 45..but for me it was terrific and super accurate...I can't find any in the LGS/s around here and I've been on the lookout.

I'd used to collect older CZ pistols. Had a CZ27 in 7.65, 4ea CZ50s also in 7.65mm, several CZ75s (all pre-B), CZ85 both models in 9x19mm and a CZ83 in 9x17mm. Over the years found numberous CZ50/70s and tons of CZ75s in Iraq. I find them fully reliable and functional arms that I would and have trusted my life with.

The CZ Shadows are the most popular guns shot in IPSC Production Division by far. They are super reliable and accurate. CZ makes great pistols and probably fair to say even better rifles.

Tanfoglios are really nice clones of the 75 and if you can put your hands on the israeli made clone of the 75, the Jericho, then you have a gun that shoots well and it's sexy, too.

I have a CZ 82 and love it. It is accurate, easy to shoot and reliable. If you buy the Wolf spring set you can control the tendency of the pistol to send ejected brass into the next zip code. Fits the hand extremely well and has ambidextrous safety and mag eject. Great pistol!

My wife's second favorite gun is her CZ P-01 she bought probably 10 years ago. The thing just shoots - jacketed factory stuff, military surplus and my cast hand loads. Not sure how you'd be disappointed in one.

I had an original 75 when I came back from West Germany in '86. Sold it and have kicked myself every day.
I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get parts (Chech was commie then).

I've got a CZ-75B that looks identical to the one palmettosunshine posted the picture of. When I got it I went completely through it (custom springs, trigger job, etc) and that was the gun I shot my qualifying target with when I got my carry permit. There were some "Rambo Wannabe's" in the class with BDU's, tactical thigh rigs, etc. and their pistols ranged from Kimber 45's to H&K's and so forth. My CZ and a Bersa 380 a girl in the class was shooting were looked down on by the snobs in the class but when the shooting was over and there was one ragged hole in my target where the X ring used to be even the instructor was impressed. He admitted he had never personally fired a CZ but that his opinion of them had just gone up substantially. I've owned more guns than I could count over the years and but there are only a few that I really get attached to and wouldn't consider selling. My CZ is one of those few.

I had a CZ40 P that I paid $300 new from J&G sales. It was a De-cocker and a specialty model made for the Chech Police. I was just learning how to shoot and the gun was a bit of a handful with the de-cocker function getting in the way a lot. However the gun itself was an excellent piece, and very accurate.

You couldn't do chamber checks without first cocking the hammer and unless you de-cocked you didn't have any safety on the gun.

I found myself re-holstering it sometimes without de-cocking and with a 2.5LB trigger it was not exactly safe that way.

I did my own trigger job and believe me taking the de-cocker models trigger apart is easy, putting it back together was a different story and I had nearly three hours into the reassembly before I finally had all the piece parts back in where they were supposed to be. I almost cried several times and had to back up and regroup. When I finally figured out you needed a slave pin to reassemble everything it only took another hour .

It worked great! And the trigger was a vast improvement and downright awesome to say the least..

I also did a steel guide rod for the slide return spring. Which smoothed the gun out a lot.

One thing the gun did teach you quickly was to trap the trigger back as you shot , and then reset for the second shot. If you didn't the trigger would smack your finger sharply. So you quickly learned to trap the trigger, which is what you should do anyway.

The reason I sold this gun was because I was just learning how to shoot defensive pistol and the gun was just too complicated to run. IE it wasn't a Glock. I got a Glock 35 and learned on that.

I also later traded the CZ for a brand new Glock 21 SF so I kind of made out on the deal.

I could run that gun now but for starting out they are a bit of a handful.

None of these problems apply to the non de-cocker models, of which most of all of them are normal single or double action pistols, and you can carry them cocked and locked just like a 1911.

With the De-cocker models you must de-cock them in order to safely carry them as there is no safety on the gun.

These guns fit your hand well and are easy to shoot accurately, and they are excellent firearms.

Anyone that looks down upon the CZ-75 pistol series is a full-on FOOL. These pistols were in EXTREME demand in the Free World soon after their introduction. Even COL Cooper, who was no fan of D/A autopistols or the 9mm caliber, thought very highly of these pistols. Of all my handguns disallowed by the old agency's response to HR 218, the CZ-75B in 40 S&W is by far the one I miss carrying most. The Glock is NOT "perfection", but it's close--the CZ-75 IS PERFECTION. To me, at least.

I shot my 75B for the second time today. So glad I finally found one locally, been looking for a year or more.

Awesome pistol, I can't think of another 9 mm I would really want to own.

A Glock is no comparison. Not even close in my opinion.

A big piece of the reason that the CZ75 is so good is that Alice and Jason shoot IPSC at our
club, although lately a lot less than in the past. The company has leadership that actually
knows what it takes to make a good, accurate, reliable pistol and how to run them pretty
darned well, too. How weird is that?!

I had a 75B. Good gun, very accurate from the bench, but the single action trigger pull was the worst I've had on any centerfire pistol. You could see the hammer cam back about 1/8" in SA when you pulled the trigger. DA was fine.
I would buy one from http://czcustom.com/ with a pre-done trigger job so you don't have to waste time and money shipping it back and forth for a trigger job.

I have 7 CZs (pistols and rifles). Two of the pistols are CZ 75BDs. I bought the 2nd 75BD as a replacement or back up after the 1st one passed 30,000 rounds. That was several years go and a lot more rounds fired and I haven't needed it yet
