What size lead roundball would you use to slug the bore of a 303 Brit? Thanx-

Probably .36 cal though at a push a .32 cal will do. I prefer bigger to get a real good impression. Try slugging the throat too as this is arguably more important.

You may need a little bigger. Seems I have heard of 3o3's being as big as .317. You can get 32's in different sizes but they usually come around .310. Some people get those ege shaped sinker with the hole in the moddle. That way the whole gives the lead some place to go when getting driven through! I have some .318 balls for a larger bore .32.

If you need a couple of round ball .... I'd be happy to send you a few. Name your poison .... I have .310's, .315's, .320's and some loose buckshot which may be .330's.

You might want to check out cerrosafe. If used correctly will give you very good casts of your chamber and of your barrel. You can get it at midway.

I used #10 egg sinkers from walmart - they mic'd at .319 or so - if you need a little bigger for a tighter fit - just wack them a couple times with a hammer to bulge them, then push them through with an oak wooden dowel, cut to 6" lengths.

Thanks Guys, especially Ohio! I like the sound of the egg sinker, I didnt even think of that, I have a bait shop nearby and can buy them individually.
