I know most of the annealing discussed here concerns brass. Can anyone tell me their recipe for annealing copper? I'm making tubing jackets out of Corbin tubing with .035 wall thickness and have a Corbin furnace.

It has been a long time since I have used my copper jacket making kit, but if memory serves me right I used 1250f for 15 minutes.
You need to get a slight red glow in the copper, then quench in a mixture of water and citric acid to help in scale removal.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. I've never quenched with citric in the water. I'll bet it does a better job.
