the factory test group that came with this gun was shot with
4.5 gr v-310
200gr h&g #68 swc
oal @1.250
ww lp primer
new starline brass
throat measures .451
bullets that have been shot have been .452 and .4526 bhn 11-12
tried lighter loads of both 231 and v-310 same same results....

as to my request; what procedures have been used to fire lap a 45acp bbl. by those of you that have done this?

I assume 1911 and Wilson combat. BUT, you don't mention a problem! Why firelap? Not getting accuracy of factory test target? Are you that good of a shot? Do you own a ransom rest? What are your expectations?

His expectations are a 45ACP pistol that doesn't have a leading issue. We shot the same loads out of my Kart barreled Colt Gold Cup Series 70 without any problems................no issues with these loads in a S&W 625 either.

Loosen the crimp up to 0.471-0.475". Use your barrel as a guide. Take the barrel out of the gun and drop it into the chamber. All you want to do is remove the bell and that is it. NO MORE! This should take care of it.

If it does not, you may want to take a look at your lube. If it is that Blue lube that most commercial casters use, that may be your problem. You might just have to tumble lube them in the alox till you start to cast and lube your own.

I have never seen a situation in which I would firelap a 1911 barrel. Do a search on this forum for ".45acp leading" and "1911 barrel throat", and read a while.
