I have a 310 die so marked, it is a neck size die for a case with a relatively sharp shoulder (not 22 Hornet!) and the neck opening is a relatively tight slip fit for a 15/64" punch and too small for a 1/4" punch. The whole die is just over 1.5" long, so it is not a rifle die, or a very short rifle case.

Any guesses what this might be? None of my references list a single numeral die.

Hey Wayne!

My 310 die "decoder" sheet, lists number 3 as 22 WCF or 22-15-45.

Don

Well, I guess Don got it. I was going to guess .218 Bee, due to the sharper shoulder.

WOW! You got a much better decoder ring than I did!!

Thanks.

So, I have a size die for the 22WCF and nary a 22WCF in sight. Also a three die set of 8mm. Maybe I should hold on to those, maybe another Mauser is in my future? Mine is 7mm.

It's a neck size die. Shoulder is immaterial if it doesn't touch the shoulder.

The .22 WCF is the daddy to the .22 Hornet. You might want to investigate further and see if a Hornet case will fit without moving the shoulder.

Many of these 310 neck dies can be used for a variety of caliber. The same die can be used to neck size, 30-40, 303 Brit, 308, 300 Savage, 7.65 Argie and probably some more with more or less similar case lengths. If there is room in the tool or press, you can raise it up for longer 30 caliber cases

They really are some very useful dies, that are often over looked by current reloaders.
