I shoot a lot of 32 H&R, and use it instead of a rimfire on varmints and small game. I bought a LEE 90 gr. tumble lube SWC to cut costs. Not being familiar with tumble lube bullets I tried to size them and found they were casting at .314. It seems that my SSM likes them just fine at .314 with no leading at all. Using 5.0 grs of 231 they group around 2" at 25 yards. Haven't chrono'd them yet, put suspect the 950-1000 range.:|

To answer you heading question. Yes, Lee tumble lube boolits are designed to shoot as cast unsized with Lee Liquid Alox or some of the other luquid lubes.

Try that with 2.5 gr Red Dot.

Sure, you do. :)

So do I. I shoot Lyman 452424 that I run through my .4525 sizing die. That's the same size they drop from the mould, all the sizer does is lube them.

If your 32s shoot well and don't lead, you're good. It's results that count, isn't it?

RED DOT , I still have a 4 lb can.(was a skeet shooter ) Must be a lifetime supply. I had no idea they were designed to be fired as cast. But that tumble lube works great, as I get no leading at all. My grandsons say the 32's look like gold crayons.

Lots of us shoot as-cast boolits, and as long as they shoot good and don't lead, why mess with 'em?

I shoot stopring boolits in 2 rifles and they are designed to be shot as cast (sizing would destroy the stopring).
A boolit that is a few 1/1000'th of an inch to big rarely hurts anything.

I quit sizing .38 wadcutters long ago. I tumble lube with the jpw/lla mix and have to same fine results.
I still have about 10k of sized/lubed SWC to work through before I need to cast again, but at that point I'll forgo the sizing, as I only have 1.5 gallons of White Lube's LLA (!!).. good stuff, but i'm fining all sorts of uses for it.

I size all for consistency. When you get an oversize boolit, you know immediately. Saves a little aggravation when loading revolvers at the plate range. Other than that, unsized alox lubed boolits shoot just fine.

I shoot all my handgun bullets as cast and tumble lubed with JPW.

First gun I cast for was an H&R the first year the .32 Magnum was introduced. From a six inch barrel it chronographs 1200 fps and shoots about like yours, 1.5-2 inches. Absolutely no leading. I use the SAECO 98 gr SWC (104 gr from WW).

Started casting with Lee TL. Worked fine. As I got more "sophisticated", I started to size them with Lee sizers. No real improvement in most guns. There are a few that do better with specific sizing; but for the most part just shoot them as cast with LLA. Can't argue with results. Well, you can; but why bother.
