Ok. I apologize if this has been n asked but with the new version of tapatalk I am having trouble searching threads.

I messed up and got junk in the bottom of my lee 10 lb drip o matic after spending days cleaning it out. I am not happy with my self. Because when I emptied it out to clean it this time I accidentally pushed some of the junk into the spout. Well now it is stuck there and I can't remove it. I thought about drilling from the bottom in to see if I could free it up but it looks like a angle. And I don't want to screw that up. Anyone have any suggestions? I am boiling water in it to see if I can free it up that way. But other then replacing the liner I can't think od any way to fix it. Thank you.

Maybe a wire bore brush will free it out.

You are right - the spout has a bend.
I have done the same before and I never found a way to clean it.

You might be able to drill into the spout from both ends. I couldn't make it work.

You will probably have to toss it and get a "real" pot.

Good luck either way.

compressed air?? Blow it out the way it went in useing a rubber tip blow gun (NON-OSHA appoved) Just make sure you use eye protection!

Depending on what the "junk" is, you might try heating it and the spout with a propane torch, and pushing the junk out using a straight dental pick, straightened paper clip, wire, etc.

Well some how I was able to drill it out and get it to work. It has a small drip since I couldn't make the angle it needed. I put a small bit it a drill and it pulled whatever it was inside out. It drips about one time in the tjme it takes to let the sprue cool and break it off then drop the boolits. For a two cavity mold. It works well enougg for now. I didn't see any of these suggestions until just now. Stupid new tapatalk. Thank you all for the suggestions though. I then put a hanger in the bottom and pushed it up into it and it cleaned the junk out. I have no idea what it was though. At least it works for now. And I keep it over half full and it isn't dripping too much. I made about 100-150 boolits to test run it. Now to find a "real" pot at a price I can afford and make this a different pot or something.

I used one of those welding tip cleaners a long time ago on my Lee 10 lb. pot and it worked, I think I remember heating up the pot first.

Yea I had this thing boiling water for a good hour. And it didn't free up. I did find a replacement liner for 8 bucks plus shipping so I think it was around 13 all together. I am going to get it on the first in cSe this stops working
