beeswax is pretty easy to clean up.
boil it slowly and the gunk will fall out and the wax will cool on top of the pot.
you can also put it in panty hose and boil it, the hose will hold most of the gunk [bee parts, sticks etc.] then a second "cleaning" will finish it .

Simmering in distilled water will soak out the remaining honey and sugary stuff. Let it all cool down and the wax will form a cake on top. Remelt the cake by itself per Runfiverun's method and as a final filter, pour through a layer of heavy cotton tee-shirt material. Industrial (Bunn) coffee filters work well, too, but are very slow.

I use a pair of panty hose (I buy new ones ) so the wife does not get mad at me to filter the wax and use a double boiler so I do not scorch the wax by boiling the wax in a pot of water you can scorch it and ruin some of the properties in the wax D Crockett

just contact randy rat here, you don't need to clean his any further unless you are going off the deep-end of lube testing.

Thanks! I'm interested in reinventing the wheel, just need to get started and your simple lube looks good and easy to put together.
