I picked up some range brass the other day and there were a few straight wall 30 caliber cases with a case length of 1.5" or 1.56", can't remember at the moment. The headstamp was "38" and "77", IIRC. I will post some pics later this evening. At first I thought 30 carbine, but they seemed a little long. When I checked the length, I realized that they weren't 30 carbine.
Anyway, pics will be up in a couple hours.
Thanks.

Guess that's it. The first drawings I pulled up showed a more pronounced rim. So I wasn't sure that was it.

If you can convert that brass to boxer it's worth doing...stuff is hard to get these days.

I only have 7 or 8 pieces. It is berdan primed. If someone wants it I could probably mail it for a couple of bucks. I don't have any use for it.

Are you sure it's not a 32-40? :?:
Spoke too soon. Looked it up, the 32-40 is too long. guess you were right about the Nagant cartridge.

Thanks for verifying by headstamp. I attempted to Google the headstamp and looked at a couple of sites but didn't have any luck.
Btw there were only 4 cases in the range brass.

I was wondering how to look that up, and then my mind got up and wandered away. Just found it a few minutes ago. [smilie=s:

I found this thread looking for the same info on the cartridge cases I found at my club. It is kinda sad since I have three 1895 Nagant revolvers in the safe and a box of Fiocchi ammo I've never shot.

Anyone reload this cartridge?

Yup, I do. If I had the cases, that is.
