I slugged the bores of my 2 Vetterlis - they're each approx. .415 - .430. I use a .429 bullet that I cast.
I took apart an old Remington .41 Swiss cartridge to compare the bullet (I saved the smokeless powder and rimfire casing).
You can see the measurements in the pic. Would that bullet bump up enough in those bores due to the hollow base to make it work as it should?
Would smokeless powder make it bump up better or faster than black powder?
